Large, Sexy Labia

I’ve recently touched on this somewhat sensitive subject already, but I’ve since come across a great site sexylabia.com in which they positively enthuse about women with large labia and actively discourage FGM (female genital mutilation).
There are also some very graphic images and video shots of lovely, long, sexy labia, tastefully done, erotic and arousing.
It’s great to know that there is a source such as this encouraging positive body image; my only criticism of the site is that I wish there were more “ordinary” looking women of varying ages - after all, whilst it’s good to be made aware that some “beautiful” people have large labia too, it would be nice if we could see images of other types of women celebrating their endowment also. Just a thought.

Vaginus Dentata?

This Dracula Chestertonii Orchid bears a curious resemblance to an open vagina, with it’s red inner petals and clitoris-shaped bud.
I wonder whether the reference to Dracula in it’s name has anything to do with “vaginus dentata”, or toothed vagina?

I’ve often wondered about this one.
I once had a sexual partner who commented on my “rather large” labia and I have to say that up until that point, I hadn’t taken any notice. After all, I’d never asked to look at any other women’s labia to compare and my exposure to pornography had been pretty limited.
Although he passed this comment, it didn’t dampen his sexual ardour so I was puzzled as to why he’d said it in the first place. I was too shy to pursue the subject but it did bother me.
Several years on, I’m delighted to say that my husband, and father of my three children, absolutely adores my large labia, my “lilies” (his words, not mine) and gets a great deal of pleasure from feeling and sucking on them. It’s a bit of mantra of today’s modern woman, but why shouldn’t it be OK to ‘sleep around’ in the same way as men do, without the slur of being called a slut?
As long as it’s safe and consensual, what’s the problem?
I am a woman who loves sex. I want it, I crave it, I need it, I have to have it. Does this sound slutty? Of course it does, but I find that admitting this fact is human. I am also a woman who will and has had one night stands. I am also a woman who has given out fake numbers to men largely due to the fact, the sex wasn’t good enough to want to see them again. I am also guilty of realizing while on a date with a man, that if I do not see long-term potential, I will instigate sex, because I know I will not see him again and basically it boils down to me at least getting sex out of the boring night.
Most people at this point of the story are probably reading with gaped mouths, for how can a woman admit such things? Actually it’s quite easy. If the author of this article was a “man”, I do not feel the shock factor would be as great, for “men” are expected to act in such a manner, at least until they meet the woman of their dreams and this of course takes them off the map. My opinion on this stereotype is that women deserve equal favor. I for one, will not play the “nice-girl” act, why should I? I’m not a “nice-girl”. I am a woman who will look a man up and down and wonder how good he is in bed, of course after my gazing of his body, this is when I determine his intellectual skills. [more, via]

Taken from one of the first editions of Cosmopolitan published in 1972, this is about as racy as it got in women’s sex magazines back in those days.
